Suggest Remedies For Stuffed Ears, sore Throat And Cough?

I have had a stopped up ear for about a week and a half. Now I have a sore throat that hurts when I cough. The cough is a dry cough, and seemings to be getting more frequent. My Husband had bronchitis and was prescribed Hydromet. Would this help me, dry up my ears and help with the sore throat? Should I see a doctor and get an antibitoic.

Hi,

While your husband's medication, Hydromet, would be useful in at least suppressing your cough, it is a opioid based narcotic and it would not be advisable for you to take this, I have to urge you not to use this. Other options that you may consider would be Guaifenesin, Sudafed and even some Dextromethorphan. These should assist with the cough, sore throat and help decompress your ears.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
