Suggest Remedies For Swelling And Numbness In My Hand After An Injury

Hi, today I was working a peice of machinery when I was pulling on a torque bar when it slipped and pushed he back of my hand into a metal corner on the machine. It instantly turned purple at the slight gash and is swollen and numb around the area. what should I do

Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. If you are able to move the hand, possibly there is not fracture.
2. Some amount of swelling and pain is going to be there due to tissue injury. It will reduce within 1-2 days. You can keep icepack. Will help you with pain and swelling.
3. Take NSAID painkillers for pain. If you are unable to move the hand and even if slight movement causes severe pain, you need to get an x-ray done to rule out any fracture. At present, avoid any movement and give the hand, rest.
