Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems to be severe
throat infection leading to the symptoms swollen tonsils and when the swelling is in excess as well as throat is swollen there can be
choking and difficulty in breathing..
You should immediately consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and they can give you injectable antibiotics, painkillers and
steroids for faster reduction in swelling and infection..
Intravenous fluids can also be advised.
Once the condition improves you can be switched to
oral antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and warm saline gargles and steam inhalations.
In case if the condition recurs frequently
Tonsillectomy that is surgical removal of tonsils can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
