Suggest Remedies For Vaginal Discharge Along With Gas Release

Hi, My name is Ms. XXXX im 45 years old and I have been having vagina discharge for years now which have a smell associated with it. The discharge is thoughout the day, also if I pass gas a nice amount of discharge release with the passing of gas. I have been to the doctor got std testing done and it came back all negative. Im very, very insercure about this condition and always wear tampons to catch the discharge as well as to control the smell. When I take the tampon out it is a very foul odor (Also even when i dont wear tampons the discharge and smell is still there). I really need help.......I dont want to live the rest of my life with this condition. HELP ME PLEASE

Hello,

The long term issue of vagina discharge with foul smell indicate chronic cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disorder. In my clinic, I do recommend:
- Complete hemogram
- Blood sugar (to rule out diabetes)
- Vaginal swab for microbiological diagnosis of type of infection as bacterial or fungal
- Ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis to look into the details of uterus, pouch of douglas for any fluid collection, status of ovaries
- Cervical or endometrial biopsy (in selected cases)

A primary concern of thorough medical treatment based on the precise diagnosis help to recover many of the cases. A small number of patients do require surgery of Hysterectomy as well.
