Suggest Remedies To Manage A Compression Fracture In An Elderly Person Who Is Unable To Even Stand
I have an 83yr old companion of my 90 plus father who has recently received a compression fracture. Hospital advisors suggest home therapy of standing to do dishes or laundry folding for short periods. But other than going to the bathroom walk, she does nothing. I m looking for suggestions. Med managed, OK. She know seems uncomfortable in most daytime positions. It s also only been 2 weeks. Exercise suggestions.
If two in my knowledge she should be 4-6 weeks immobilized. After she needs a physiotherapist help to advise her for the exact exercises. Please discuss with her doctor for this.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
