I sympathize. Hormonal changes have made you more sensitive to carbohydrates, especially high glycemic carbohydrates. If I were treating you I would instruct you on a 1200 calorie diet with no more than 136 g carbohydrates with an emphasis on consuming low glycemic carbohydrates. Use cottage cheese as a source of protein or meat analogues. No sugary bevergages. Green tea x 3 per day. Walk briskly for 30 minutes 5 days per week. Follow up with a dietitian. I hope this gives youi a plan to start with and one that initially helps. Please follow-up with a Dietitian. Thank you for coming to HCM. KathyShattler, MS,RDN
