Hello- My wife had a pineal cyst which was causing terrible head pains. she had surgery to remove the pineal cyst. since the surgery 5 months ago her pupils have been dialated and have not gone down. she sees double, dialatied puipls, and has a very narrow field of vission. her vision was fine before her pineal cyst removal. we have seen multiple opthomologist who say the optic nerve is fine, along with the pressere in her eyes. they tried magnafying glasses to help with her pupils but that did not help. I am wondering if it is Mydriasis. I am also wondering how we could treat it or if it will go away on its own. we need any and all help. thank you.
It can be due to some medication during surgery. In that case it should go by its own. It is to be seen whether pupil is reacting to light or not?. This can be further confirmed by slit lamp examination. With all test negative it is focusing on muscular action of iris and nerve supply.
