Suggest Remedy For A Small Lump Under The Labia Majora

Hi, I have a small lump under my labia majora. It s not pimple like as it s under the skin, no color difference , no soreness. When I press on it, it moves under my fingers and feels the size of a 5 pence piece. I have only noticed if for about 5 days now. I m worried.

Hi,

I have seen many of my patients coming at very late time. But I am happy that you have noticed it early. So do not worry, you have sufficient time.

The information shared by you points towards the problem by name- "BARTHOLIN CYST" ( RELAX.. not a big issue). But you have not shared the information about the size of the bump and where exactly it is present at majora. So I cant tell 100% it is Bartholin Cyst. But somehow the information is matching for this problem. But dont worry it can be treated and treatment is a simple surgery - MARSUPIALIZATION.

1. I strongly recommend you to visit a nearby gynecologist. gynecologist have a expert knowledge about a female anatomy n problems associated with it. They will give you a precise treatment.

2. The gynecologist will have a look at the problem and decide what can be done. Hopefully if it turns to be a bartholin cyst, discuss freely the pros and cons of surgery with the doctor.

3. As you are visiting a gynecologist, if it does't turn to be a bartholin cyst, as they are expert in female anatomy, they can find out what the problem exactly it is, that is the advantage of going to the gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sudha Rani Panagar
