Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 79 year old mother has had 15 episodes within last 2 years where she suddenly has severe lower abdominal pain/cramping coupled with severe nausea, vomiting and sometimes diarrhea. With these episodes she always has severe diaphoresis and has passed out completely during 3 of these episodes. History of rheumatic fever as a child and has aortic stenosis and benign functional murmur. Her last episode was June 21st. Please get back with me at your earliest convenience. Her episodes are getting worse in intensity and frequency.Terry Hunter
HI Well come to HCM You said your mother having this complain since last two years, if you have not done any test then it is advisable to get done some important test like CT abdomen, routine blood test, for the symptoms she can be given Tab Dicyclomine and Acetaminophen three times in day, hope this helps.
