Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea

I am 40 yrs old and I had a hysterectomy at age 30. I have really bad acid reflux and a small hiatal hernia that causes a lot of pain in my chest. Since July I have had constant diarrhea with lots of blood and I have had occasional vaginal bleeding. I just returned home from a colonoscopy and endoscopy that was normal other than a polyp and a diverticulosis and a red area in my stomach that is being biopsies. The dr said the bleeding is from external hemorrhoid but I have had bleeding from hemorrhoids before and the blood I am having is lots with mucous and clots and I have lower middle abdominal pain and diarrhea since July. Thoughts?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted that you are 40 and had hysterectomy when you were 30, you have acid reflux, Hiatal hernia, diarrhea since July with blood and mucus.
Colonoscopy shows polyp, diverticulosis and upper GI shows red mucosa.
I would advise you the following:
Get the stool tests done on three consecutive days.
Test of blood- routine, thyroid and sugar.
Get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole along with a long course of probiotic and supportive medicines.
CT scan of the abdomen to rule out any other causes.
If all the investigations are normal, get the piles that is hemorrhoids operated to stop the bleeding from them. Rest of the treatment as per the reports.
