Suggest Remedy For Accessory Navicular Bone Syndrome In Left Foot
Hi my daughter is 13, very athletic, and has been diagnosed with an accessory navicular bone syndrome in her left foot. She is an avid golfer who Cortes in many junior tournaments. We have used custom orthotics, icing, elevation for relief but the pain is simply getting worse. A round of golf now is almost unbearable due to the pain. Surgery is imminent we are certain if that will provide relief once the accessory is removed and the tendon anchored in place. What is normal recovery time and when can she expect to return to a full recovery and get back into training and playing competitive golf again?
this is a good review by you and a good question. usually after tendon surgery or reimplantation, recovery takes 3-6 weeks for full recovery. guarded foot exercise begin after 3 weeks and full weight bearing after 6 weeks
