Suggest Remedy For Acne

Hi, I had some adult acne problems to right hand side of my face. Around 1cm from the nose, I had two white bumps below the skin. These bumps were slightly raised, but never came to a head like a regular pimple. They were almost impossible to extract and remained with me for 3 months. This morning, my skin became dry and crusty and the skin started to peel back. There two hard white spots appeared more visible after the dry skin was buffed away. I was able to gently extract the spots, but the still didn t pop in a regular manner. The first bump extracted was like a tiny pearl, perfectly rounded and hard. What type of acne is this and in future are there more effective ways to eliminate them?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

You said you suffer from acne vulgaris. It is a multifactorial disease. There may be different form of acne like comedones, papules, pustules or cystic lesions. After healing the lesions, you may develop black spots and scars. You seem to have comedonal acne. It may take long time to recover.

Stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, drugs like steroids, oil food,dandruff..etc might exacerbate the disease. I can understand your anxiety for acne and you might get post acne melanosis.

But, you have to take treatment for long time to have good response.

You consult dermatologist.

He might give antibiotic like minocycline 50 mg daily in morning and isotretinoin cap in low dose of 5 mg daily at night .

And he might advise to apply clindamycine gel in morning and adapalene gel at night. And to cleanse the face with antiseptic like acmed face wash.

Have pateince for the result. It may take few months for the good result. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
