Suggest Remedy For Behavioral Problem In Child

I care for a 3 year old girl who knows how to induce vomiting at will. She also knows how to stop if she is caught. Her mother is bulimic. The child has a tendency to be very angry, and chooses to stay in a bad mood the entire day, even telling us that she wants us to be mad, too. In this frame of mind, she pretends not to know how to do simple tasks such as finding a toy to play with, dress herself, answer questions, etc. all of which on her rare good days she can do with ease. I am at a loss as to what to do with her, I don t know what is wrong with her. She sees a therapist also.Can you help? I need some advice!

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should start behavioural modification therapy for her where her positive behaviours are promptly rewarded, and negative behaviours are either ignored or punished.
Whenever she tries to induce vomit ignore it or remove her privileges like her favourite toy or tv time.
Whenever she does her own chores on good days reward her and praise her.
If this behavioural modification does not work then you may consult a developmental and behavioural paediatrician for medications.
