My chest x ray report specified - Increased lung markings seen in both lungs mid and lower zones. Inhomogeneous opacities noted in the left lung lower zone.- Impression: Plate atelectasis / consolidation in the left lung lower zone. Feature suggests Bilateral Bronchitis. What does it mean? Is it recoverable?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I want to ask you few questions. 1. Are you smoker 2. What symptoms you are having 3. Have you consulted pulmonologist. In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). As bronchitis is not diagnosed by chest x ray. You need PFT for confirmation. And bronchitis is 100% curable. Proper diagnosis and timely treatment is needed. Treatment of bronchitis is 1. Antihistamines and anti infinflammatory drugs. 2. Inhaled therapy with bronchodilators. 3. Short course antibiotic. 4. Quit smoking if you are smoker.
