Suggest Remedy For Breathing Problem And Back Pain After A Fall

I fell backward about 5 hours ago trying to get my mother off the kitchen floor. She had just taken a fall herself. Pulling her up from behind, I lost my balance and fell backward with her in tow. She s fine now, but from the instant I landed totally on my butt, I felt sharp pains right below my waistline in my lower back. At first, it hurt to walk and even to take shallow breaths. Now, after two 10mg. tablets of hydrocodone, two 4mg. tablets of Tizanidine, a couple hours of bed rest with a heating pad, I can breathe easier and the pain has gone from sharp to dull, but constant. Should I see a doctor, or just get some more bed rest?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient don't neglect back injury. The remedies you have taken would definitely help in reducing pain that doer not rule out underlying miming fracture or sprain. You must be on rest now so you are feeling better but once you start working you will again have pain. Please visit expert orthopaedic surgeon and get yourself examine. I would advice radiograph of lumbosacral spine anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out bony abnormalities. All the best.
