Suggest Remedy For Bruise And Swelling In Finger

My middle finger has been swollen and very brusied for over a week now. The wind caught a heavy glass door and caught my fingers in the door jam and the door. I can still move my finger, painfully. How do I know if it is just bruised or if it is more serious?

hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.

severe pain and bruising even after one week can be serious. plus the movement is also not easy. its painful you say. either it's severe soft tissue injury or a fracture.

I suggest you get an x-ray done and visit a orthopedician because in either case you will need a cast.

till then you can give rest to the finger. immobilise it by taping it to the nearby finger. also you can take painkillers like diclofenac seratiopeptidase combinations.

hope this helps. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
