Dear doctor, My daughter of 6 years has been on budecort 100 for the last 3 years. Earlier it was two puffs morning and evening , now it has been reduced to 1 morn. and evening each. She seems to doing fine, even exercising 1 hr. daily [ plays tennis] . I wish to stop the inhaler altogether, please suggest ant also guide as to how to taper it down further! I t has been more than one month since she has been on two puffs in a day... that is morn and evening? Thank you with all my due respect.
If she is alright even after reduced doses, then you can reduce the dose further to once in a day, in evening for 1 week. If she remains alright, then stop it and give whenever required thereafter.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Diwashish Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
