Suggest Remedy For Bump In Lip Near Piercing

I had my lips pierced recently but both of them rejected so I took them out about a good 4 days after I got it. It has been a week and all of a sudden a blister like bump has appeared where my lower left piercing was. What is this bump? Will it go away?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
From what you've described there are most likely 3 possibilities
1) You have got a bacterial infection due to the piercing
2) If it is a blister, then there may be reactivation of cold sores ( herpes)
3) It may be a delayed allergic response to the metal

For correct diagnosis, you will need to visit a dermatologist in your neighborhood at the earliest as the treatment depends on the condition you are having.
Avoid piercing again in future as the condition may aggravate.

Dr Pinanky Adhe
