I got this swollen bump on my forehead seems to be a oils gland or something cause there is no pimple head but it is painful and is a crater in it that is not open buy black scab or dried blood idk but how can I reduce the swelling and speed up the healing process
Hi and welcome to HCM From your description it seems you have developed a cyst of the oil gland, called a sebaceous cyst. It is generally harmless but since it is painful it is probably infected and needs antibiotics. You can take a five day course of Augmentin 625mg twice daily and apply a mupirocin ointment over it. If the cyst is very large or swollen and not relieved with these medicines , you may need to get it surgically removed. Do not pick on it or squeeze it as it can spread the swelling and infection. Do go in to see a dermatologist or surgeon if the swelling does not show any change in a few days.
