Suggest Remedy For Bumps On The Back Of Head

I have been dealing with bumps on the back of my head for a long time. I went to a dr he thought it was folliculitis and gave me some prescription antibiotics pills and roll stick. They went away as soon as the medication was finished they came back. They only seem to come in heavy when my hair grows in. I recently cut my hair and the back of my head looks like a war zone. When I pop them puss comes out and sometimes just clear fluid. Sometimes I try to pop them but can t. I don t know what it is bit it s very discouraging.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be acne keloidalis nuchae.

The lesions occur on back of neck and head. They are acne like lesions with keloidal tendency. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Vitamin A cap may be taken for long time. Cap minocycline 50mg daily might improve the condition. Apply retinoic acid gel 0.012% on the lesions. Intralesional steroid may be considered.

Hope this would help you.

Thanks.
