Suggest Remedy For Burning Sensation In Throat And Acid Reflux
I have a very strong burning sensation periodically, but often that starts at my throat, and quickly radiates to my chest, and a great part of my back. Have taken TUMS, and acid reflux tiny over the counter pills, have gargled with Peroxide, and nothing helps. I am 77, and in very good health. Are you charging me for giving me advice? Tomorrow I am making an appointment with my geriatric doctor at UCLA to get to the bottom of this.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation in throat and acid reflux. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons , but in your case it seems to me that symptoms are due to gastroesophageal reflux disease which leads to excessive acid production. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night. You should eat at least one hour before going to sleep , take light walk after every meal , take antacid after every meal and take small and frequent meals. Avoid taking sharp spicy food from outside. If condition doesn't improve or get worse then consult gastroenterologist for proper evaluation . Doctor may prescribe ranitidine or omeprazole or may consider resurgery.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
