i am african american female and not sure if that matters. I moved south and was driving over a period of time in my car. It was morning til early afternoon that I had been running errands. The sun was already out but not intense. It began to hotter as the morning progressed. I did not think that i would get burned (maybe darker), but later in the day my skin felt hot/feverish inside, if that makes sense. It's painful and despite the motrin for pain, it still hurts days later. I have this burning sensation under my skin that will not go away...is this sunburn? What can i take? I can't avoid my trips at this time and I am subjected to the sun daily. I just purchased sun block not sun screen as I was told by a girlfriend will provide better protection. What other remedies should I use and how can i get some relief. I covered my arns and wore a hat while driving today. My arns are still burning.
