Have been prescriped Ultram 100mg. and been using Tramadol for the last 2 years. Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthr. pain is increasing and Tramadol doesn t even take the edge off. Any suggestions? I m 71 and have mild CHF and ILD. Can t take biologics or DMARDs any longer so I m just on pain control. Reluctant to go to OxyContin but I m looking for quality of life right now. Thanks.

Hello,
Ultram and tramadol are the same thing. Please do not take both of them. Ultram is just the brand name for tramadol. They are narcotics and if they are not strong enough then you need to work with your doctor and physical therapy to improve your pain and function.
Regards
