My son z having cold n caugh with fever. Fever increases in the night n comes down automatically in day time. Im giving him Ascoril n MEFKIND-P. Any other medicine can u recommend for fast recovery. Note: alergic to normal dose of alopathic medicine. So I give mild doses.
Actually, the allergy may not be to the normal doses of allopathic medicine but to the medicine itself; giving small doses would not really bring about a cure. Tepid sponging would help bring down the fever, and Paracetamol may be required if the fever spikes very high. Ascoril will help if the cough is wet; if it's dry, switch to Ascoril- D. Make sure he's drinking enough water and give warm, semi solid foods like soup and porridge to him. It is important to rule out malaria since the fever comes mainly at night- a blood test may be required for this so it is better to consult a doctor.
