Suggest Remedy For Constant Vomiting With Diarrhea In A Child
My 2.5 year old son has had a virus now for 2 days. He has been throwing up w/ no fever and no diarrhea. I took him to dr yesterday b/c he was throwing up so much. Dr said my son was dehydrated but not enough to put him in hospital. Dr prescribed him an antiemedic which seemed to work great til this afternoon. Today my son seemed a little weak and tired this morning. He woke up at 7am went back to sleep at 9am then woke up at 11am and was wide open. About an hour ago he started throwing up again and has constantly been throwing up and now when he vomits foam-like substance and now has diarrhea. Is he going to be okay?

It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
Unless there is blood in the motion there is no need for antibiotics or cultures. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS. For vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron 0.15mg/kg/dose thrice a day, 30minutes before feeds.
