Husband had stroke in Nov. No cause found. Dr. said no HBP, no diabetes, non smoker, young (61) but does have family history of heart disease and high cholesterol. Dr. said although high cholesterol did not cause stroke, he must take lipitor. Started on 40 mg (since Nov. 28, 2013), but now cramping and diarrhea. Dr. said to drop to 20 mg. No cramping now but diarrhea remains. Besides lipitor (at dinner) and 1 baby aspirin (a.m.), he takes, B100, D 5K, E 800, niacin 500, R-Lipoic acid 100, Chlorofresh; lunch: AlgaeCal (calcium. K2, D, magnessium, C), CholestOff (his dr. recommended), Omega 3; Dinner: COQ10 400 mg., Red yeast rice, Omega 3. Bedtime, AlgaeCal, Omega 3, Melatonin 10 mg. Could any of these be causing the diarrhea?
