Hi, I am Dr Suresh K Yadav MD (paediatrics), I had gone through your question and understand your concerns, Although difficult to comment without examination , from your description it seems like viral illness and does not need antibiotics . Decision to start antibiotics is taken by proper examination and history of patient and can not be generalised. Absence of fever and good appetite are against possibility of missing anything serious . But she needs an exam to rule out possibility of bacterial throat infection and congestion in chest.
