I have cystic acne badly on my chest back and neck, my dermatologist said not to take a bleach bath but my friend had it and his told him to and it dried him up. My questions are. 1 what can I do to dry up the continuously draining acne. And 2. Will a bleach bath help 3. I am also on accutane
Cystic acne is serious type of acne and may not heal without proper tretment. The cyst may become secondarily infected by bacteria. Prompt treatment may be needed. You consult expert dermatologist.
If you were my patient I would have given you intracystic steroid injection...like triamcenolone 10 mg at few week intervals till good result. Antibiotics like azithromycine or minocycline in proper doses may be taken. You may continue accutane in low dose. You may be alright after few weeks treatment.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
