Hello,
There are three types of hyperpigmentation:
1)
Melasma. This type of dark spots are caused by
hormonal fluctuations.
2)Lentigines. These are caused from exposure to UV rays.
3)Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation result of trauma to the skin which responds well to topical treatments and go away with time.
Here are some tips to treat and prevent dark spots from forming:
-Start with manual exfoliation.Find an exfoliating cleanser that contains tiny particles for a gentle scrubin. You can also make your own scrub by mixing ground raw almonds or ground oatmeal with liquid of choice.
-Try a topical acid treatment
(alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids or
retinoids. Acids removes the top layer of dead skin cells, allowing fresh cells to grow. These are used to treat hyperpigmentation of all types.)
-Wear sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher, even in winter.
Feel free to ask me if u have anyother question
Kind regards,
