Suggest Remedy For Delay In Period And Nausea

Hi! I had my implant removed 10th November this year. The next day I bleed for that day only! (11th novemeber). Recently I ve taken many pregnancy tests and there getting clearer and clearer (positives). Then I went to the epu (early pregnancy unit) and they tested my urine... They got a negitive... Then, I demanded a blood test and they said my hcg levels were 2. My hcg levels are usually 0 when I m not pregnant... I was due my period Saturday. Which I ve missed nearly by a week. Then, on top ive had horrific sickness and nausea. Yet as said before my hcg is only 2? So why have I had clear possitive pregnancy test yet my levels haven t doubled? And before my period that I ve missed now my last one was 24th October. Apart from the day long bleed on the 11th November I ve had nothing but discharge. What do I do?

Hello,

There are so many causes other than pregnancy which may cause delayed menses.

The most common causes at your age are due to hormonal imbalance, stress, anxiety, PCOD, thyroid disorder, anemia, diet changes, exercise, infection, ovarian cyst, birth control pills, and infection.

So as you are not having any other symptoms you can wait for one more week and if you will not resume it than consult a Gynecologist and get yourself examined and investigation is done to rule out the above-mentioned causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
