Suggest Remedy For Delay In Periods

Hi there! I m just a little worried about my girlfriend right now. The situation: she s gone over 2 months without having her period and we re worried she s pregnant. During that time, the only times we had sex were in the beginning of that period, but always with a condom and never ejaculating inside (even with the condom on). The only other times I suppose anything could have happened was one time when we brushed genitals when hugging after I ejaculated and wiped off my sperm, a time when I fingered her after wiping my ejaculate off my penis with a towel (happened after I washed my hands and waited more than 10 minutes before fingering her) and one time when we were rubbing genitals and the tip of my penis went in, I think. I am confident in knowing when I m about to cum and that was just at the start of what we were doing at that time so I m quite confident I was nowhere near ejaculating. As further background, last year around this time as well she had another pregnancy scare and her period was delayed by around two months as well before she took medicine to induce her period and she finally had it. She was under a lot of stress then, and up to around 2 or 3 weeks ago she was also under a lot of stress, weekly. She s also had some problems with her period long before we met and took hormones to help with it when she was younger. So we re just chalking it up to stress. But it would be really reassuring to have an educated opinion on this on the chances of whether she s pregnant or not. Would really, really appreciate it. She has had practically no symptoms so far other than her breasts being a little tender (a few days back, but passed already), her lower body being a little heavy in the past few days (though she could just be tired because she hasn t been getting much sleep). That s about it.

Hello,

You have not mentioned if your partner is on any type of contraceptive method (regular pills, implant, Cu-T, etc). She is not experiencing any sign of early pregnancy. She is advised to get a pregnancy test done with the first morning mid-stream urine. She can also get a blood test for pregnancy done. She should get herself clinically examined by a gynecologist, get per vaginal examination done to detect bulky uterus.

Get blood tests, urinalysis and ultrasonography (Uterus with fallopian tube) done to detect gestational age of the fetus and its wellbeing if pregnant and to rule out ectopic pregnancy. If it is not pregnancy, rule out anemia, thyroid dysfunction, hormonal problems, PCOS/PID, etc. Help her manage stress (physical and emotional).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
