Suggest Remedy For Delayed Periods

I am 32 years old. My period is late, but I think it is due to the fact that the pharmacy had missed my refill of muy birth control, so it was filled a week late. i took a pregancy test after a week of my period being late and it says negative. my husband and i are still concerned though. Anyway, we read cinnamon can aloe can cause miscariages. Is this true, and if so how much would need to be injested?
