Suggest Remedy For Depression

hi i suffer from severe depression and my tablets dont seem to be helping i am on 30mg of citalopram daily aswell as diazipam as i need it which dont help. lately i can be extremely chatty one minute and hysterically crying and wanting to be alone the next. i done a online bipolar test tht say 25 and above show signs of bipolar i scored 44 what should i do now please

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have severe depression and are on 30 mg citalopram daily and diazepam on sos basis. The symptoms like increased chatting, crying spells can occur due to symptoms of depression. Mood lability can be seen in depressive patients on treatment. Don't rely on online bipolar tests as they are not based upon personal complaints but they are generalised. If still you have doubt you can consult your psychiatrist for evaluation.

It is possible that at 30 mg doses citalopram is not able to control the symptoms of depression so addition of other drugs can be one option. Augmentation with drugs like Bupropion can help in controlling the symptoms of resistant depression.
