Suggest Remedy For Difficulty In Bowel Movement In A Smoker
My husband is 41 and a smoker. He suffers with feeling like he can t really move his bowels well. It takes a long time before there is any movement and he says it feels like it s right there but it won t come out and when it does it feels incomplete. Seems to be getting worse. What could it be?
Hi. Thank for your query. Noted your history about your husband who is 41 and is a smoker. He has difficulty is passing motion, takes a lot of time before there is any bowel movement and says it feels like it is right there but the BM would not come out. Feels incomplete even after passing a bowel movement. This is most probably a form of IBS-C, meaning irritable bowel syndrome of constipation type. I would advise you to take him to the Gastroenterologist for proper clinical evaluation, examination, investigations and further treatment as per the findings. Smoking can be related to the issue.
