ive been noticing lately that when I look in my mouth to the back of my throat the whole seems as if its smaller then it used to be like my hole is at one point in time going to shrink completely and close that s how it looks its no longer big and open like it used to be years ago and some times its hard to swallow i can some times feel food scrapping all the way down and some times it hurts horribly when it gets down between my breast
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of difficulty in swallowing which could be due to swelling of salivary gland, salivary stone at base of tongue mainly submandibular gland and it could be due to leftover chronic upper respiratory tract infection or it could be due to infection of tonsils. Need not to worry. You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. Avoid intake of sharp spicy food. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test along with other test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics such as amoxicillin and penicillin at least for 10 days along with vitamin supplements to boost the immunity. Maintain oral hygiene. Drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
