Suggest Remedy For Discomfort In Neck
Hi I had TB infection in past , i took treatment for 1 year , then I was ok since past 4 years but from last 3 months I have oberserved soar throat, nodes in my lymph nech , slowly I have started feeling lot of discomfort in my neck , difficulty in eatiny & its take lot of enery for me to speak, My frds advisng that It is sometimes throat cancer. Can you please advise wt it could be & are there chances of Cancer if someone have TB in past, I am worried. And tell me how dangerous is Throat Cancer. Is it totally curable.

Hello,
In general, previous tuberculosis lesions are not precancerous. The throat cancer are commonly due to virus lesion and chronic smoking,alcohol and tobacco use. Your present symptoms may be due to sore throat for which you may consult to ENT specialist. At present you may do following to have relief in this:
- Do warm saline mouth gargles for 3 times a day
- Keep a good oral hygiene
- Take a small course of broad spectrum antibiotic like with amoxycillin for 5 days.
- Take a multivitamin preparation for 10-15 days.
