Suggest Remedy For Draining Caused By Bactrin

I have a boil/abcess that drained. I have been to the doctor and got some bactrim. The has now madea hole about the size of a dime. It is still draining. Will the hole heal? Is there anything else I need to do? I still have been putting heat on it is that ok? Any other advice would be helpful.
