Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough, Dizziness And Lightheadedness After Taking Lisinopril For Elevated BP

My blood pressure usually measures around 155/75 at the doctors office (over the last two years). I have felt fine though. 2 and 1/2 weeks ago he had me start lisinopril 10mg. Now I have dry cough and feel dizzy and light heading periodically during the day. Do not like the feeling. Would it be best for me to just try to olwer my blood pressure in another way besides medication

hi, I m pleased to answer you, Lisinopril is in a class of medications called angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors prescribed to treat high blood pressure. By lowering blood pressure, lisinopril also helps reduce the risk for stroke and heart attack. Common side effects of lisinopril include :
Cough, Dizziness, Headache, Extreme tiredness, Nausea, Diarrhea, Weakness, Sneezing and rush.
your case of hypertension, can be managed only by regimens and sport walking. if medications are necessary I prefer diuretics or betablocker firstly, but only if lifestyle are inefficientes.
I find this answer helpful
