Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough

I have had a tight dry cough for almost 4 weeks, i have had a chest xray on advice from my doctor( am awaiting the results), the cough has been consistent but has become more loose over the past week.I have the sensation of warmth in the upper part of my chest, although when touched externally it does not present in this way.i have tried linctus and inhalers to introduce a mild steroid into the lungs... the condition shows no sign of lessening, should i be concerned?

Sounds really refractory to medicines.
If the cough is still present after linctus and inhalers then I think probably u have a post nasal drip that is causing this.
Start montelukast levocetirizine combination once at night with steam inhalation three times daily and continue inhalers
