I get a dry patch at the back of my throat and it makes me cough until im just about throwing up water doesn t help but bubbly liquids do. I have had my tonsils out at age 7 this has become a problem over the last 10 years now.....Ive been told its heredity my mother also has this problem

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take cough expectorants and throat losenges. Apply mist humidifiers in room. You should take proper course of antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should maintain oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles.
