Suggest Remedy For Dysuria During 5th Month Of Pregnancy

Hi, my wife had 5th month pregnant and suffered from pain while passing urine.. gyanec presicribed for urine analysis and urine culture determination. after 48hrs eptilial cells observed 10-12 on reports. my wife little bit tensed. may I know the treatment?? how to reduce these cells throughout pregnancy?? eptilial cells causes any damage to pregnancy??

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

According to your information, it is suggestive of Urinary Tract Infection. 10-12 epithelial cells are detected on culture test. They usually don't effect in pregnancy but needs to be treated.

TREATMENT: I suggest to take one course of ANTIBIOTIC (like Cephalexin or Nitrofurantoin) & URINE ALKALISER (to be taken with water). It will help to control urine infection. Kindly, procure complete prescription from your doctor.

PREVENTION: You must drink plenty of water (2.5 to 3 lit/ day) to flush out the body toxin, take cranberry juice (one glass) regularly, maintain genital hygiene properly, empty bladder in time and wear clean-cotton underwear only.

HI,
thanks for asking. I would try to inform you about ways to get rid of her problems.
* Pain urine in pregnancy can be due to urine infection/ urinary bladder inflammation or infection or urine stones.
* A proper evaluation after physical examination & investigations followed by specific treatment is needful/.
A complete advised course of antibiotic is a must to complete recovery from infection,
* Pain in urine when treated completely, & infection eradicated .. is not risky for pregnancy, Bur if the infection gets chronic .. it may lead to untoward complications in pregnancy.
Let her take rest/ drink plenty of water/ take medicines regularly.
