Hi! I m emailing on behalf of my husband. He said that he s having problems when urinating, slow to come out. Hurts on the inside but not when it finally comes out. Then slow drips that take awhile. He is on 1 medication for gout. Been on it for awhile. I m thinking it may be a bladder infection.
You have not mentioned age of your husband in your query .
Assuming the he is more than 60 years old the problem like hesitancy ,poor stream ,and difficulty in urination with terminal dribbling that he has can be mostly due to Enlarged Prostate .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. 1) Urine routine and culture. 2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis 3) Serum PSA.
In the mean while give him Tab Tomsulosin once daily and Norfloxaccin twice daily .
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
