Suggest Remedy For Excessive Dry Scalp With Intake Of Folic Tablets While Being On Bigomet, Duphaston And Fertyl
Hi, I am taking bigomet Sr 1000mg in morning and 500 mg in evening. And now I have also started duphaston from the last cycle and this cycle added fertyl 50mg... My doctor prescribed folic tabs but as soon as I take that there is excessive dryness on my scalp... Please guide as to what I should ..

Hello,
Neither of Bigomet (metformin), Duphaston or Fertyl (Clomiphene )is known to cause dryness of scalp.
Folic acid in large doses can cause some skin reaction but not with the dose of 5 mg/day which is usually prescribed.
I suggest going for serum free T3, free T4 & TSH to rule out hypothyroidism to cause scalp dryness.
