Suggest Remedy For Excessive Hair Loss

My glucose blood sugar level was 120, and my Iron level reads 194. I had a blood work up because i am tired all the time, no matter how many hours of sleep i get, and also for the past 6-9 months i have and continue to lose a large amount of hair. I initially thought this was because i lost 70 pounds in the past year, but it wont stop falling out.

Hi,

I understand your concern.

The total iron level normal range is 60 - 170; yours is a bit higher than normal range (194). Further tests are recommended to determine why your iron levels are higher than the normal range:
- iron supplements
- vit. B12 deficiencies (vit.B12 and folic acid levels to check)
- complete blood count
- peripheral smear
- total iron binding capacity

In this way we can determine why you are tired all the time and why you are losing a large amount of hair.

Hematologist to consult further.
Hope this helps.
