Suggest Remedy For Extreme Pain With Heat Sensitivity In The Thighs

I am 39 5 2 and weigh more than I should, I have EXTREME pain in the front of my thighs. I have knotts, heat sensitivity, tingling, not to mention I lose my balance and fall. I remember the first time I felt this pain when I was 15 running bleachers for soccer. I would have a cycle where the pain was always there, especially walking fast, on incline, or stairs, but I was able to manage it . For about 3 months it was fine and then there would be a month or two that it was difficult to deal with, then it would go back to what I considered normal Now I have days where I cannot get out of bed nor tackle the stairs. I had a breakout of shingles 2 years ago and since then my legs have gotten extremely bad. I have been to many doctors, and a few thought I need to see a psychologist. It s offensive because I went from being active to being on pills, gain weight and can t walk long before the pain is to much. Do you have any ideas because I am sick of being sick . I want me back!

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems like your knees are going for degeneration or muscle around the knee joint are weak. Due to weakness of the muscles surrounding the thigh and knee, with excess amount of weight of your body degeneration happens in knee joints and your balance and coordination may be affected. It is recommended that you get an X-ray done of your both knees and need to get physiotherapy treatment where proper evaluation and treatment for pain and to improve strength can happen.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
