Suggest Remedy For Extremely Itchiness In The Lower Legs

For the last few weeks I have had extremely itchy lower legs. It has presented a few times over the past 3 weeks. I have no visible rash, but when I scratch, my skin gets very red. It also feels slightly prickly. I am a 54 year old woman with vericose veins (which I have had surgery for), and arthritis in my knees. Despite this, I bicycle every day, and go for a couple of 1 hour hikes in the forest every week. I am fairly active, despite my leg situation. I also, for the first time ever, have a rash (visible) under my breasts (bra line), that seems to be now slightly under control by Clotrimazole Topical Cream USP.

Hi.
As per your case-history there are 2 different things-
1. Rash under your breasts may be a fungal infection and using clotimazole cream twice daily for 3 weeks will cure it.
2. Itching on legs may be a developing stasis eczema most common in patients of varicose veins. Take a non-sedative antihistaminic like Tab.Levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily and apply a low-potent topical steroid like hydrocortisone cream and use an emolient cream twice daily if skin is dry.

Thanks.
