i have been prescribed to use melacare for two months...the cause was pimple marks...i hd many of them..also my face is dark in colour whereas my chests n stomach region is a lot fairer...the doc askd me to use thr cream at night for 1 week, n aftr dn twice...1nce in d mrnin n 1nce before bed.....now i hv developed fairer spots on my face...spots in d sense small regions have turned fairer while d rest is of same colour as earlier....so sud i continue usin melacare???
You are having post inflammatory hypermelanosis after healing acne lesions. You applied melacare cream. I think you improved but you developed hypomelanotic spots. I think the fairer or hypomelanotic spots might be due to hydroquinone, a constituent of melacare.
I would like to suggest to stop melacare application immediately. Otherwise, the side effect of hydroquinone would increase and the facial skin would be harmed.
