for about six weeks or more i have been having severe facial swelling mostly on the left side of my face now it s moved to the other side I have been diagnosed from allergies to orbitual cellutuis i had an abcess tooth that was removed but still having facial swelling to the point my face looks disfigured I have been on antibotics for about six weeks now had ct scans the first showed the abcess the second showed nothing i have knots that come up under my skin it moves all around my face then after looking disfigured for days the antibotics clears it up then it comes back again
Hi and welcome to HCM, From the description you have described it seems the main cause for this swelling is the tooth infection. Tooth infection can cause cellulitis, which is basically infection of the surrounding tissues. What is unusual is the even after, is the persistence of the swelling, for six weeks. Good thing is that the CT scans are clear. I suggest you might need, a change in the antibiotic, and /or removal of the tooth, depending on the level of abscess. All the best !!!
