Suggest Remedy For Fever And Cough
hi,doc?good evening.my son is 3 yers having high fever on and off.he is taking aspiriin low dose for his kawasaki disease nearly 3 yers now.he is rcently diagnosed astma and taking singular,loratidine and also puff.one before high fever he voimited x1.my son always have fever on and off.recently he diagnosed acure tonsilitis.ple help doctor.i gaven voltren supp every 12 hourly.he is coughing on and off too.

When did the fever and cough start? Any breathing difficulty? Fever, cough and vomiting suggest a respiratory infection. Usually these are viral, and need only supportive measures.
Give him acetaminophen(e3-4 times a day) instead of volteran for 2 days. As he is asthmatic, a bronchodilator like salbutamol can help relieve the cough.
If the symptoms are not getting down in 3-5 days, he develops breathing difficulty, becomes lethargic or not feeding, kindly take him to pediatrician, as we may need antibiotics also.
Meanwhile, avoid exposure to dust and cold, as these will worsen asthma symptoms.
