Suggest Remedy For Fibroid In The Abdomen

i have a fibroid as big as a orange in my abdomin and it is causing extreme pain. i cant sleep, eat or do anything and my surgery isnt until dec. 10th of this year. which prescription pain medicine would you think would work the best? thank you and please help

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. If I were your doctor, I would prescribe for you some kind of anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor for a symptomatic relief till the surgery was done. However, in case of increase in the severity of symptoms, the chances of the fibroid getting twisted or hemorrhage into it has to be excluded by an emergency ultrasound as these conditions might need urgent surgery.

HI.
Thanks for your history.
Once you are already a case of a known fibroid of the uterus, you have to get a confirmed diagnosis and get out the uterus out of the abdomen.
Ideally only the fibroid can be removed leaving the uterus as it is , this is possible by newer techniques and Laparoscopy.
Another option is to remove the uterus.
